Human Resources Manager

The position of Human Resources Manager is a key position within The Southport
School.
It will be fulfilled by an experienced, energetic, committed HR generalist with
relevant experience, qualifications and a willingness to contribute. An
excellent communicator, the successful applicant will be tertiary qualified with
a minimum of five years’ experience in a HR generalist role.
The Human Resources Manager works closely with the Headmaster and Senior
Leadership team. You will be able to use your strong interpersonal skills whilst
working with all teaching and corporate staff. Responsibilities include:
recruitment and selection, provision of employee and industrial relations
advice, management of permanent and fixed term contracts of employment,
coordination of the performance appraisal program, HRIS maintenance,
rehabilitation and return to work coordination, meeting government reporting
requirements, compliance and an involvement in staff training and development.
You will be committed to holistic involvement in school life, willing to support
the stated values and Christian Ethos of the School and be eligible to hold a
Working with Children Blue Card. Q Comp accreditation as a Rehabilitation and
Return to Work Coordinator, or an ability to attain accreditation is a
requirement of this position.
