YEAR 7 & 9 NAPLAN TESTING
NAPLAN dates for 2013 are May 14-16
TSS is supportive of the National Assessment Program – Literacy and
Numeracy (NAPLAN) and we encourage parents to be informed of the tests and
processes your son will undertake this term.
Year 7 testing will take place in the Year 7 classrooms whilst the Year 9 cohort
will complete NAPLAN together in the Centenary Centre. TSS prepares boys
for NAPLAN through the normal academic program and via focus activities
throughout the year. General information can be found on the Australian

NAPLAN tests are a routine part of the school calendar. Schools are required
notify the testing authority of any special conditions, exemptions or parent
withdrawals from the testing program if there are religious beliefs or
philosophical objections to testing by 26th April. This is a
matter for consideration by individual parents/carers and needs to be
communicated to the TSS Studies Department by return email by Friday 26th
April.
