THE C.G. WILLOX MEMORIAL MUSIC LIBRARY

Cecil G Willox joined The Southport School in 1979.
He was a highly accomplished master of many instruments which he taught at a very high standard. He was deeply involved in the music life of the School; he contributed immeasurably to the progress and development of the department and to the standard of excellence that has now been achieved at the present time. He passed away in 1981, his funeral taking place at St. Alban's Chapel on the 4th of April that year.

To support and strengthen music teaching, learning and research
by providing a collection, and services in an environment
that leads to intellectual discovery and cultural growth.

The C G Willox Memorial Library benefits the staff,
students and faculty of The Southport School.
Library resources available include:
audio visual aids – videos, cassettes,
CD’s and records; monographs; kits and an extensive
range of scores for Concert Band, String Orchestra, Marching Band,
Big Band, Ensemble, Concert Orchestra and Choir.
