SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2009 ENTRY

Each year The Southport School offers a limited number of scholarships to students entering Years 7 to 11.

All scholarships are reviewed annually and the continuation of an award is dependent on the scholarship holder's performance, academic effort, behaviour, participation and contribution to the overall life of the school.

Applications for 2009 scholarships will be available at the beginning of 2008, closing date for Academic applications is February 22, 2008. The Academic Scholarship Selection Test will be conducted at the Senior School on 8th March 2008.

Scholarships are awarded by the Headmaster after interviewing selected applicants and the value of the scholarship is at his discretion. The Headmaster may take the families' ability to pay fees into account and parents in this situation should flag this on their application. In such cases family income information may be required to be conveyed confidentially to the Headmaster. Academic scholarships are open to both current TSS and non-enrolled students, and a testing fee applies.
