Divorce
We recommend that divorced persons give plenty of warning as the process involves a dispensation from the Bishop and the expectation that you are practising Anglicans.
The wedding is conducted by one of the School Chaplains and must be according to the Rites of the Anglican Rites in Australia. A ring for the Bride is a necessary part of the ceremony (and the Groom may choose to wear one as well).
Music
Contact the organist as soon as possible to arrange the music for the ceremony.
Flowers
Floral decorations remain after the ceremony for school services (unless agreed otherwise).
On the Day
The Bridal Car may draw up at the Chapel door.
All other cars may park in any of the school car parks.
The groom and his attendants should arrive at the Chapel 15 minutes prior to the wedding time. We ask that the bride be on time – congregations (and Grooms) do not like to be kept waiting!
Marriage according to Christian teaching is the life long union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life. By being married in a Christian church you are affirming that you wish to base your marriage on Christian principles, and that you intend to live together according to God's law. Also in being married in the chapel you come to seek God's blessing and grace in your life together.

Chaplain’s memo to Wedding Photographers
This is a religious service in a sacred place. Occasionally we experience intense photographers who forget that the wedding is more important than its photographic record. These guidelines are to help you enhance the couple’s special day.
Photographs may be taken
- At the church door for the bride's entrance.
- During the service (from the steps of the Organ Loft or from behind the (Founder's Stone).
- After the signing of the register (you have a free hand here)
- As the couple process down the aisle at the end of the service.
- Videos only by previous agreement)
- No additional lighting please but Flash photography permitted.
- Once the wedding is over feel free to use the school grounds around the Chapel for posed and informal shots
- Photos may be taken from the stairs or balcony of the Nimmo Building (behind the Chapel) for a group shot.
Your work is important but please remember that this is a religious service which has priority over its’ photographic record.
Wedding Catering
Wedding Catering can give you and your guests the widest possible range of foods and catering options. Please contact the catering office and we can then create a menu that suits your specific needs and requirements.
Afternoon teas can be supplied outside on the TSS Clock Tower lawn under the Poinciana Tree to the East of the Chapel. In inclement weather the service can be moved inside to the Memorial Room adjacent to the Chaplain’s office.
