Thorold House is named after Charles Campbell Thorold, early partner of
Bishop Dixon in the establishment of the School. Thorold House is one of the oldest Houses at the Southport School, living in one of the newest buildings in the School. The building was completed in 1997 and offers students a very comfortable place to reside in whilst boarding. This house is not only strong academically, but is also feared by the other Houses when it comes to sport. Read more |

This year we welcomed 19 new boys to the House. The House Captain Dan O'Reilly as well as Deputy Sam Beard and Sports Captain Ross Buchan have done a sterling job in creating an atmosphere where the four important pillars of Academic endeavour, Cultural pursuit, Sporting involvement and selfless Community Service are an all important part of the ethos of the House.
