The Foundation Today

The Foundation has evolved to where it now stands at the very heart of The Southport School.

Established, in part, to provide leadership, Foundation members are actively engaged in both the School and the community as a whole. Many participate in various Support groups, Parents & Friends activities, and the Old Southportonians, and several members have gone on to serve on the School Council. All devote many hours throughout the year to the benefit of The Southport School and in this way the Foundation shows leadership, provides a role model for the boys and inspiration to others.

In keeping with this ethos, the Foundation is also proud to provide three Scholarships each year to boys entering Year 7.

By making immediate building and maintenance funds available to the School, the Foundation is helping realize the School’s development plans as well as providing a secure foundation upon which to plan for the future.

Our monthly Business Breakfast programme at the Marriot is regarded as the premier meeting on the Gold Coast and continues to gather large audiences from the local business community. click here to see the Calendar of events and download a Business Breakfast invitation

The Foundation annual Golf Day is well supported by the wider community and raises valuable funds for the school. Click here for further information on the Golf Day

The Foundation operates quite separately from the School Council, Administration, Old Southportonians Association, Parents & Friends Association and various Support groups within the School. The Foundation Board of Management, elected at the Annual General Meeting, is vested with the control and management of the Foundation and its funds.
