Tennis

Tennis within the TSS community has seen both growth and success on and off court in 2008 and is due to the effort and support (active and financial) of the TSS Friends of Tennis, the TSS administration, led by our headmaster, Mr Greg Wain, the sports department, headed by Mr Bryan Hain, Kay Tomlinson President of the TSS Foundation, and a program staffed and run by its own highly qualified and dedicated coaching professionals.

Facility

Following on from the establishment in 2005 of an on-site administration office and pro shop, 2007 has seen the completion of a functional and aesthetically pleasing undercover area providing both comfort and much needed shading for players and patrons. Another major facility improvement has been the erection of tournament standard lighting on courts No’s 3,4 and 5.

Its is to be noted that these have been self-funded through the TSS Friends of Tennis, (largely through he efforts of Michael Higgins, Leanne Harkin and Peter Turner) the income generated by all coaching programs within our school and the sale of rackets etc. from the TSS Tennis Pro Shop.
