Congratulations to the TSS pairings of Timmy Yeung Packer and Nicolas McKenzie, Wylie Bucknell and Ethan Carrick, Kosta Karathanasopoulos and Kenan Little and Lennox Boles and Ari Hunt for their excellent results (semi-final or better) in the 2021 Inter school Challenge!
In the primary division, Lennox and Ari fought hard but went down in a tie-breaker in the semi-finals to the eventual champions from Emmanuel College.
In the senior division, three of the four semi-finalist teams were from TSS, with Wylie Bucknell and Ethan Carrick defeating Kosta Karathanasopoulos and Kenan Little 4-3 in the first semi-final, while #1 seeds Nic and Timmy defeated the top pair from Palm Beach Currumbin High School 4-1 in the second semi. The final was a high quality set but the number #1 seeds showed why they have won multiple titles in the past, defeating Wylie and Ethan and winning the tournament 6-2.
An education at The Southport School does not simply focus on academic scores but frames the social and emotional development of the boy as essential to his development as a whole person.
