Facilities

TSS is located on the sunny Gold Coast, the fifth largest city in the nation and only one hour from Brisbane. The School is located over two campuses, covering fifty-one acres includes facilities such as two heated pools, indoor gymnasium, sports courts, nine playing fields, a climbing wall, and purpose-built buildings for the performing arts. The Southport School is the ideal location for your next conference, sporting venue, meeting or function.

Located on the beautiful Gold Coast, TSS is around the corner from some of the country’s favorite theme parks such as Dream World, Movie World, and Sea World, water parks like Wet ‘n’ Wild, and only 5 minutes from superb beaches such as Surfers Paradise.

The Boarding Houses

TSS has five boarding houses on campus, each with a wide range of facilities to ensure your stay is a success. Each of the five houses is equipped with recreation areas which include pool tables, table tennis tables, televisions with cable as well as kitchen facilities which include toasters, fridges, and microwave ovens. Accommodation is available in single, twin, triple or quad rooms.

The Dining Room is straight out of a Harry Potter novel and can seat up to 300 people with buffet style food service facilities. The Common Rooms, of which there are several throughout the Boarding House, can be used as private meeting areas, or a place for guests to relax. These rooms are equipped with cable televisions, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities.

Sporting Facilities

The Southport School has numerous sporting facilities. There are 5 tennis courts, heated 25metre pool and 50metre 12 lane pool, climbing wall, cricket nets, 9 playing fields, indoor gym and indoor basketball courts which have markings for various other sports. The indoor basketball courts, both pools, and playing fields have spectator stands which make them ideal for carnivals or competitions. TSS is located on the Nerang River, which also makes it ideal for rowing or sailing activities.
