Ms Jo Inglis – Deputy Headmaster and Head of Learning and Teaching
TSS academic programs continue to adapt to the changing circumstances of COVID-19 and the easing of restrictions, with Year 12 and Year 11 students already back on campus, Year 11 boarders joining us this week as part of the staggered return, and Year 7-10 students returning from May 25.
The complication of 25% maximum occupancy for Queensland school boarding houses means that whilst we welcome back Year 10 boarders from Monday May 25, Year 7-9 boarders may not return. TSS is responding to this by providing a dedicated Year 7-9 online learning program for boarders which will be in place for the remainder of Term 2, the details of which have been provided to boarder parents and students.
Details of the program can be found on the TSS COVID-19 webpage, and the continuation of support programs for all Year 7-12 students can be found on CANVAS.
Year 7-10 students and parents will shortly receive notification of the TSS ‘adapted’ Subject Information Evening which will take place online via Big Blue Button conferences and Canvas, in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions. Academic Heads of Department are currently populating the Canvas course below, which will be published to Year 7-10 students and parents soon, and will provide subject offerings and elective choices for the 2021 academic year, which commences at the beginning of Term 4. The 2021 ‘adapted’ Subject Information Evening will also provide opportunities for parents and students to conference with TSS Teachers regarding study options.
