TSS has an enviable reputation for excellence in boarding for boys that has been earned over many generations and the establishment of Rogers to meet the unique needs of Year 7 is the latest expression of that century-old tradition.
We hold a series of Open House morning’s throughout the year and two of these coincide with sleepover’s for prospective Year 7 Boarding students.
Whilst Rogers is contained within the TSS Campus, it’s been created as a “stand alone” House removed from the other secondary houses. This in no way limits the boys’ access to the world-class facilities and dynamic life of the School, but it serves to provide a little “breathing space” in which they can more comfortably adapt. Rogers is modern, spacious and homely with 44 beds in communal dorms, which – like the shower and bathroom facilities – are designed to afford individual privacy for each boy. A large common room overlooking the Nerang river serves as a natural gathering space for games and activities.
Come along and find out, first hand, what life in boarding is all about.
Prospective Year 7 2021 boarding students can join in the morning’s classes, have lunch in the Dining Hall before heading out on an activity-packed afternoon. On their return they participate in afternoon sports outside the House, enjoy a BBQ dinner in Rogers, before turning in for their first night in Boarding.

Rogers Sleepovers are particularly helpful for students with concerns about boarding. We assure you that when you pick your son up after one of our sleepovers, he cannot wait to come back!
The following Sleepovers have been scheduled for 2020:
Please be aware that your place on the sleepover is not confirmed until you receive notification from our staff.
For the Rogers Sleepover, the boys are required to bring with them:
It is understandable that some of these items will be difficult to transport. If you are unable to bring a doona and cover, please advise us and we will be happy to provide one for you.
Parents are encouraged to join our Open House morning while boys are enjoying their sleepover. There will be an opportunity to meet the Headmaster and Boarding Staff, and to tour the School and Boarding Houses.
Although it may be true that “there’s no place like home”, Rogers House comes very close and in terms of providing exceptional boarding for Year 7, it’s equally true that “there’s no place like Rogers”.
