Cambodia, Rugby and Cupcakes

Fergus Trevethan | Year 1 Teacher

The Cambodia collection is going strong! Well over $5000 has been raised and we are halfway to our $10,000 target. As usual, our TSS families have been putting in the hard yards over the last few weeks with families in Year One making Bookmarks, other students cleaning mum or dad’s car and students selling pictures at their parent’s workplaces for extra funds towards Feeding Dreams in Cambodia.

Claude Chabert baked cupcakes and sold them at our last Prep home Rugby game.

Claude Chabert sold plenty of his homemade cupcakes at our last Prep home Rugby game and even cracked on selling them after going down to the opposition – what a great effort.

Combined with the $10,000 we raised earlier in the year through the TSS Mud Challenge, we have almost reached $20,000, enough to cover the food program at Feeding Dreams for the entire year! This program feeds 800 children two hot meals per day, while they are learning English.

Many of these children have been taken from the rubbish dumps in Siem Reap and surrounding areas in Cambodia. The children are provided the only two meals they will get each day, through the money the TSS community raises. Thank you again for your continued support of this wonderful cause.
