Cooking for a Cause

TSS Round Square students and teacher Mr Brett Smith visited the OzHarvest headquarters in Surfer’s Paradise to participate in the Cooking for a Cause program. Boys learned about food loss and waste and its detrimental impacts on society and the environment. Using donated food which would have otherwise been wasted, the boys created a delicious meal of cheese parcels, meatballs, vegetable couscous and an apple crumble, which was then packed up to be shared with community members in need. Students gained culinary skills and enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to grow together as members of the Round Square team.
