Coronavirus (COVID-19)

School and Community Information

The health and safety of our students and staff is critical in the rapidly evolving situation related to COVID-19. TSS is making adjustments to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our community. The menu located on the left provides the latest updates and information.

We currently have no students impacted by the virus and none are in quarantine either on campus or at home.

The School has now moved to an online learning model, a combination of online learning for those away from School, and classroom and online teaching for the boys at School. We are not closing, and will not do so unless we are so instructed or the boys’ safety becomes a factor. TSS has simply adapted to the changing environment in a way which will allow boys to work from home, or come to school, depending upon parental choice.

Preparatory School classes will be conducted in two modes. Face to face on-site in classrooms, or remote online mode. Please note that students who attend school, must do so for the full school day, partial attendance is not possible. Teachers will provide instructions as to how boys will access their at-home, online learning and the teachers are available at school during the day to assist with any questions regarding the lessons or technical assistance. The online program may include a variety of elements – live streamed lessons, pre-recorded videos, pre-prepared workbooks, links to websites and other software applications.

Senior School students who are in attendance at school, will be engaging in the same online classes as their peers who are at home, but with teacher supervision and assistance.

For more information, please click on the ‘Advice to Parents’ link located on the left menu.

Please be assured the School continues to monitor and stay informed of current information, guidelines and responses. Importantly, we have kept our boys appropriately informed, reassuring them at the same time. The mood is calm at TSS and we are prepared for whatever contingency that may develop.

We are hopeful that these difficult times will soon pass. In the meantime, we will continue our strong focus on doing everything we can to support our entire school community.
