Boarder Parent Support Group (BPSG) Meeting

This Friday sees the next meeting of the BPSG in classroom N4 starting at 3:30pm. This forum is an important fund and friend-raising arm of our boarding community. During meetings, the Dean of Boarding gives a report highlighting specific boarding initiatives and projects.

This Friday I will be updating the meeting on boarders use of technology, OTR regulations and projects associated with the Dining Hall. Such issues will be raised through the boarding bulletin should you not be able to attend. The meeting is not the avenue to take issues of concern. Should an individual have such a concern, we need to be informed as a priority through relevant staff member. All senior boarding staff are open and receptive people and take parental concerns most seriously.

Following the meeting, we all travel to our annual Bush to Beach function to enjoy a celebration of our unique community. A big thank you to all people who have donated auction items for the evening.

Boarder/Day Boy Weekend

The weekend of August 25-27 is the annual boarder/day boy weekend where day families are asked to host a boarder for part of or a full weekend. We focus attention to younger years in an attempt to foster greater ties with each other in building a relationship that may continue to build in forthcoming years. Bill Donaldson and Hugh Robinson put together the following little DVD in advertising the weekend below.

Weekend Activities

The boys have continued to participate in a range of activities over the weekends this term. Whether it cooking lessons with St. Hilda’s, a board games night or a trip to Dreamworld, the boys have eagerly participated as the photos below suggest.
