Earlier in the week, I sent the following words to all the Delpratt Year 12 parents and it hit home how far we have come in the year…..

‘I can’t believe we are saying farewell to our Seniors in less than three months time. The boys will naturally be feeling a number of different emotions when they return from holidays. We will continually encourage a time of reflection and gratitude as the boys look back on the sacrifice and commitment made by their family and themselves. In the same breath, they will want to experience freedom and independence during this nostalgic time;  it’s important that we remind them that is a natural response and emotion, but it’s equally important to be aware of boundaries and standards leading up until graduation. This balance will be critical for our senior boys and both Mr Bland and myself will make sure we remind our boys throughout term 4. As always, I am looking forward to sharing this time with the boys and families – it will be special.’

It’s also that time of the year where we start to think about 2018 School and House Leaders, House supper menu, speakers and committees. This term our Year 11s have taken on Dorm Captain duties, BBQ cooking and have handed in their prefect/warden and house official nominations.

Amidst this busy period, the house continues to show their commitment and passion for each other by producing some fantastic results in the Inter-house Athletics carnival last week. The photos are attached via the flckr link below and the second place sets up an exciting last cluster next term.

Date of next House Cluster is Thursday 12th October 2017 for Touch Football, Chess and Basketball. Kyle, Ike and the Captains were inspiring on the day as they led the organisation and events last week.

Some wonderful news from Mitch (Dellie mentor) and Cassie
