Tertiary Studies Expo
The 40th Annual Tertiary Studies Expo incorporating the QLD Work & Skills Expo TSXPO is on this weekend Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th July, at the RICC, Brisbane Showgrounds.
The combined events provide senior students a “one-stop, study shop” with access to local and interstate exhibitors and free seminars over the weekend.

If you’re in Year 12 University Open Days are a great way to check out specific courses and campuses. Yep, even virtually
If you’re in Year 12 and have 2022 on your mind, heading along to a university open day could equip you with the clarity needed to narrow down your pathway options.
Sitting in on lectures, chatting to course co-ordinators and meeting real-life undergraduates are some of the intro activities that generally go down, although like last year, loads will have virtual options too.
Here, we’ve listed the universities hosting info days in 2021 so you can start prepping questions, schedules and which lecturers to stalk. We’ll continue to review it as updates are announced.

Australian Catholic University (ACU)
ACU Guarantee ¬– accepting your offer
ACU Guarantee offers for 2022 have now commenced. We wish you the best of luck, and hope you are able take your Year 12 exams knowing you have secured an offer to study at ACU.
Below is some further information for what to do after you receive your offer. Haven’t applied for the program yet? You still can – apply now to be assessed for entry to ACU based on your Year 11 results and receive an early offer. Applications close 24 September.
How and when will I know if I am successful?
As soon as your offer has been made you will be notified via email.
For most courses, you will be notified after each of the fortnightly offer rounds.
Please note: competitive courses may not provide any offers until the final rounds in late September and October.
You will also be notified if your application was not successful as you may then choose to change your preferences and re-apply through ACU Guarantee until the application deadline (24 September). Alternatively, you can still apply through QTAC.
I’ve been successful in securing my place at ACU, now what?
In addition to continuing to complete Year 12 and confirming any relevant prerequisites for your course, you will need to accept or defer your offer. All unactioned offers will expire.
To accept your offer, you will need to enrol in your first semester units for 2022. Enrolment instructions will be emailed to you directly prior to enrolment opening from early October 2021.

This application is completely free, will take 10-15 minutes and you could receive an offer for university study in 2022.
There is no obligation to accept this offer – this is just an opportunity for you to put another option on the table alongside your QTAC etc. offers and decide later in the year.
Bond also has a range of scholarships available which I’d encourage you to have a look at.
The first scholarship deadline is approaching on August 1st.
Hope you are all looking forward to the games in Tokyo. Griffith are so excited to have 34 current students and 9 alumni competing as a part of the Australian Olympic Team and we are still waiting on our final Paralympic numbers. While we are looking forward to so many of our athletes competing at Tokyo, it’s time to get ready for the next generation coming through.
The Griffith Sports College are holding an elite athlete Webinar on Thursday 22 July 4:30 – 5:30pm. This webinar is designed to assist any elite athlete looking to study at University. The webinar will be hosted by Olympic Gold Medallists Duncan Free and Naomi McCarthy from the Griffith Sports College and will also feature some of our elite athletes currently studying or recently graduated from Griffith.

Marcus Oldham College
Our Virtual Open Day is scheduled to run on the 1st of August from 10am – 4:30pm AEST. We are asking any interested parties to register at https://marcusoldham.vic.edu.au/open-day
During registration, students will be asked what course information sessions they would like to attend, and a personalised schedule will be sent closer to the day.
On the day, Marcus Oldham lecturing staff will be available for one-on-one or small group Zoom chats with potential students to talk about the courses, their circumstances and career goals as well as answer any questions they may have.
While it was not feasible to have an in-person Open Day this year, we do plan on holding a hybrid in-person/virtual event in 2022 and we are happy to take visitors on small group tours through the College at any time throughout the year.
