QUT Excellence Scholarships

The QUT Excellence Scholarship is our premier offering for high achievers. We award over 130 scholarships annually, worth over $3.5 million.

From 2022 future students are no longer required to apply to be considered for the QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic). This scholarship will be distributed based on highest ATAR to students who have placed QUT as their first preference on their QTAC application.

In addition to financial support, the program helps students make the most of their QUT experience through extra development opportunities, which build their leadership skills and professional networks.

Early Offer Guarantee

The Early Offer Guarantee enables eligible Year 12 students to receive an early and guaranteed place at USC as early as August. These offers are made before the release of Year 12 results, so students do not have to wait until the December or January QTAC offer rounds to start planning their uni journey.

An offer is made based on the Principal’s recommendation and is independent of a student’s Year 12 results. The Principal will consider the student’s academic performance, motivation, talents, passions and abilities to see if they are a match for success at university. If a Principal recommends a student for the Early Offer Guarantee, as long as they have met the prerequisites and other program specific requirements for their chosen degree, they will receive an early offer to study an eligible program at USC.  Find out more: https://www.usc.edu.au/study/how-to-apply/pathways-to-study/pathways-from-year-12/early-offer-guarantee?utm_campaign

Entry requirements at the University of Sydney

Guaranteed Entry gives students a confirmed place in an eligible degree if they achieve the required selection rank and meet any other admissions criteria.

A selection rank is your student’s ATAR or equivalent score plus any adjustment factors they receive through admission schemes and pathways.

If students don’t meet the guaranteed selection rank, they may still be eligible to receive an offer depending on the availability of places in the course.

Some courses do not offer guaranteed entry and will publish an indicative selection rank as a guide.
