Staff Profile – Cherie Ishiyama
My name is Cherie Ishiyama and I have been teaching the trumpet and trombone at TSS since last year.
I hold a Bachelor of Music (Performance) and a GradDipTeach from the University of Auckland. I was a member of the Navy Band and have played in Brass Bands and other musical ensembles my whole life. I began at TSS last year and also teach the piano and classroom music at St. Hilda’s School.
It is an honour to work with such talented staff and students at both schools.
If your son learns from Cherie you can contact her email – firstname.lastname@example.org
OPEN WEEK – WEEK 8
Open week will run for the week of 12th March. This is a week where parents are invited to come along to the son’s private music lesson, meet the teacher and see what their son is doing in the actual lesson. This will not include the Year 2 Strings or Year 4 IP Program in Term 1. We look forward to welcoming you to the Music Department.
If your son would like to perform on assembly please sign the sign up sheet in the music department. This is on the noticeboard at the entry to the department. Boys can either perform at the lower or upper assembly.
