There was a great turnout to the weekend training on Saturday. The day started with a team breakfast. We then headed to The Spit to enjoy some team building activities, helping the team spirit develop. It was great to see so many young boys involved among the activities moving out of their comfort zone. This is what GPS competition is all about. We are only 2 and half weeks out from the GPS Championships and the times are improving. We are all looking forward to this week’s House Swimming Carnival, which is the major meet this providing swimmers an opportunity to cement themselves a spot in the GPS Swimming Team. Friday night coming is also an important meet. The only opportunity to swim at Chandler before GPS Championships March 2.

Another cracking week at The Southport School pool. The Team continues to build every day as we get closer to the GPS Championships on Friday 2 March.
This week the Team had a chance to chat to one of our TSS Old Boys, Grayson Bell, prior to training. Grayson was part of a GPS Championships winning team on two occasions and has since gone on to represent Australia at numerous International meets.
Grayson chatted about his GPS experiences and gave advice to the Team for their final weeks of preparation.
