Ms Lisa Miller, Head of Department – Languages
Year 8 students of French and Chinese had a wonderful day on Thursday 25 May. There was bowling on the Chapel Lawn, and kungfu on the Delpratt Lawn.
The très amusant people from Bonjour French Festival trained our students in Pétanque (a bowling game), introduced French culture and history, and provided a delicious morning tea. The fabulous French Festival is on again this year 10-12 November in Pratten Park, Broadbeach.
Mantis Kungfu Masters taught students stick fighting, Lion Dancing and kungfu. Tucker on Ferry made spring rolls for Chinese students in first break.
Year 8 Chinese students signed up to join our Lion Dance Troupe and will begin training next term.
Thank you to all the staff and students who participated in this year’s Cultural Day!
