The Southport School’s goal is to reduce the number of people on campus—including visitors—in order to slow the potential transmission of the virus and protect vulnerable populations from exposure. All members of the TSS community, on and off campus, are asked to help in this effort. For the safety of our students and staff on campus, and to limit the number of visitors to the school, we ask that parents contact the School via email or phone rather than visiting the school’s Prep or Senior Reception areas or Student Services.
Viruses that cause illness can spread from infected people by droplet transferal to others through the air and close personal contact. This can happen when you shake hands with someone who has a cold, or touch a surface, like a doorknob, that has respiratory viruses on it, then touch your eyes, mouth, or nose.
