Each year TSS is required to provide data to the government called the ‘Student Background Data Collection’ (MCEECDYA data). MCECDYA stands for Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs. The data includes information such as country of birth, indigenous status, language, and parents’ level of education. Most parents would have filled this out when they first enrolled their son/s, but some details such as education can change over time.
Can you please logon to Parent Lounge and go to the Student Details tab > General Details and scroll down. If you have details to add or update, please click on the box ‘Update’. Please then update and select ‘Submit Changes’. The changes will be submitted to the Database Administrator who will approve the data for you.
Data needs to be input separately for each student. If you have more than one son at TSS, please click on the drop down menu in the top right hand corner.
This data is being increasingly used to determine which schools qualify for special assistance. The next report is being run on the 3rd June and your assistance is appreciated.
