Mr Rob Cooke, Director of Music
Music is still being heard around TSS!
It’s been a tough year for TSS musicians with performance restrictions throughout 2020 and the fact that we don’t really have a performance space in the Senior School at the moment (this will be very different in 2021 though!).
However, this hasn’t stopped the string players. Recently, they provided a lovely impromptu performance underneath the trees outside the Delpratt Clocktower. Although playing outside for strings is not great acoustically, the boys managed to produce a beautiful full sound. Thank you to Mr Stefan and the string ‘musos’-you certainly exemplify the spirit of TSS music making. Some excerpts of their performance is found through the link below:

The new Music Department is almost ready!
Last week we were lucky enough to have a tour of the new Music Department in the Annand Theatre which is now at lock up stage. This wonderful new facility will provide TSS musicians with the opportunity to explore their music making like never before. Here are a few photos of the interior. Unfortunately, they don’t really do it justice in size and quality of the surrounds.
