An energetic first week of the term was capped off with a packed round one of GPS fixtures in Rugby and Chess. Basketball got underway with a busy week of skill workshops and trials, whilst junior rugby and football have continued their training and matches.
The weekend saw some early promise with the prep carpark full by 8.30am on Saturday morning. A busy day of sport started with successful U6 – U8 rugby fixtures and ended with a strong 1st XV victory, all of which were well attended by prep school boys and parents alike.
GPS is on the road for round two, heading for Toowoomba Grammar School. Our coaches have been busy trailing and discussing team selection this week, with initial team lists near completion. Can I thank both the boys and parents for their patient support of the coaches and remind the boys that selections are not fixed and are regularly reviewed throughout the season to promote the best playing environment for each individuals progression. It’s time to direct our energy into training and get ready for another big weekend of sport.
A reminder that the majority of the co-curricular activity programs started this week, please see fridge facts or Prepbook for details.

Jordan Scott, Germaine Peacock Palmer, Heanen Smith, Daniel Maurice, Jake Scott and Saxon Thomas were selected to represent TSS in the prestigious State Club Championships. All boys did their school proud up against very tough competition and finished a very commendable 5th place on Floor.
Some recent equestrian success for two of our preparatory boys over the past few weeks, with Chase and Jack Jackson winning events at the NSW Hack Championship and the Riding Pony Qld 2017 State Stud show, respectively.
Both boys will be in attendance at the Royal Queensland Show, known as EKKA, with their horses “Kandyman” and “Princess Perfect”.
Congratulations to both boys on their achievement.
