Robert Eagan – Prep Sportsmaster
As we finish up for the year it is natural to reflect on the past 12 months, before we look forward to the next.
A favourite of mine World Heavy Weight Boxing Champion, Anthony Joshua, reminded us in a recent interview about keeping things in perspective. He said;
‘Don’t let your successes go to your head or your failing go to your heart’
As the internal basketball, house cricket, staff/student table tennis and the end of year reports are finalised, I direct you towards the Southportonian (coming soon) to see where we have been. It’s been quite a year. Looking through grounded eyes, as our World Champ suggests, take stock of your tests and progress for the year, before designing opportunities for 2018.
A final reminder, there is an expression of interest form on parent lounge for GPS sport, Junior Sport and deposits are due for the New Zealand Sport Tour. Get your names down fast as, in particularly the Sports Tour, spaces are filling fast.
We look forward to the Christmas Carol Concert this coming Sunday and our awards ceremony’s next week, to finish what has been a great year.
House Cricket Final round Thursday 16 November during school hours 1pm – 3pm Prep Ovals

Congratulations to Jasper Cleland, finishing in the top 4 for Queensland and qualifying for this year’s U12 Australian Open Tennis Competition which will take place in December. A just reward for all your efforts on the court.
