Mr Andrew Stark – Head of Libraries
Preparing for and maintaining a major change in practice can be challenging. Embracing online learning, rather than face-to-face classroom learning, is one of those challenges.
Many parents will be familiar with the online Study Skills Handbook available via the library web page. This is a fantastic resource that provides excellent strategies and tips on study management and academic success. Recently, this online resource was updated to include a detailed section focusing on online learning and learning at home. There is some excellent advice on setting up a space that is conducive to studying along with an overview of how to create a workable timetable/schedule for the day.
Parents may connect to this resource via the Parent Portal: Parent Portal – My TSS – LibGuides (look for the blue cloud). Alternatively, this link should take you directly to the ‘working from home’ resource: http://www.studyskillshandbook.com.au/inside/remotehomelearning.php
