Boys now have access to an extensive collection of fiction “flip guides” to assist them in choosing the right book to read. Thanks to Ms Frankel, boys (and staff) can ‘flip through’ nearly 20 guides that focus on specific genres including: thrillers, animals, humor, outback and murder mystery titles.
Year 7 boys Marcelo Alvarez-Calderon and Tom Woodfield flip through the guides to see what next they might like to read.
An education at The Southport School does not simply focus on academic scores but frames the social and emotional development of the boy as essential to his development as a whole person.
