I trust all the Dad’s in our community had a wonderful day last weekend, please enjoy the video below via the link that Mr Jason Sten has put together with our boys.

With only two weeks to go, it is a busy time in Rogers. Term Three sport is wrapping up and a hectic assessment period lies ahead. It was wonderful to see so many boys working hard on assignments over the weekend. The downstairs common room was a hive of HaSS activity led by Mrs Feledy. The boys were constructing props for their presentation which will be presented on Wednesday.

At the conclusion of this term, the boys will have completed the 2022 academic year. Next term they will begin the Year 8 curriculum. This will mean new teachers and new classes; I will discuss the opportunity for a fresh start as well as challenges associated with change over the next two weeks.

Over the coming weeks in Rogers we will elect our House Captains, these boys will lead Rogers throughout our final term. Next week we will also select rooms for Term 4. We traditionally do this based on diligence, with our most diligent boys getting the first selection of rooms. It is always an exciting and enjoyable night.

An exciting weekend ahead, with both our First XV and First V in contention to take out shared premierships. I have encouraged the boys to stay and support this weekend as it could be an historic day for the school and exciting for them to experience in their first year at TSS.

The boys have been asked recently via email to select sports for 2023. It would be helpful to have discussions over the next few nights with your son and support their selections, whilst the senior houses have a little more flexibility, I have encouraged the boys to try to maintain the commitment of being involved in at least one sport or activity per term in 2023.

A reminder that on Friday 16 September, we have the Year 7 Celebration of Achievement. This will be a great way to celebrate the work the boys have done over the year and formally acknowledge the transition into Year 8 classes.

Finally, if you have not done so already, can you please finalise end of term leave arrangements. We have camps in this holiday and it is important we have all belongings packed away and the house cleaned.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to get in touch.
