Ms Jo Inglis, Deputy Headmaster – Head of Learning and Teaching

Subject Information Evening for 2018 takes place on Wednesday June 7 for students in Years 8, 9 & 10 and their parents, at which subject displays in the Centenary Centre provide opportunity for boys and parents to find out about senior subjects from teachers and faculty Heads. There is also an information session in the Annand Theatre to inform boys and parents about the senior phase of learning in Queensland.

As part of the subject selection process, Year 10 students have received notification of their SET Plan (Senior Education & Training Plan) meeting with members of the Studies Department including; Ms Jo Inglis Deputy Headmaster – Head of Learning and Teaching;  Mr Andrew Hawkins Deputy Headmaster – Head of Senior School;  Mr Bryce Goldburg – Dean of Studies & timetable; Dr David Short – Careers Counsellor;  Mr Mike Halpin – VET Coordinator; Mrs Angela Foulds-Cook Gifted & Talented and  Mrs Helen McCleary – Studies Administration & VET Officer.

Parents have been notified by email that subject selection will take place early in Term 3 with the final date for subject selection now adjusted to 9am Tuesday 1 August, which allows for Year 9 & 10 students to experience a significant proportion of their ‘second semester’ subjects prior to making decisions for 2018.

Year 7 students will also be involved in subject selection considerations in Term 3,  making their choice online for a Language (French or Chinese) for Year 8 2018.
