I currently teach Year 8 and 9 Robotics and Year 10, 11 and 12 Engineering Technology.
My other responsibilities include Melbourne House Mentor, Coordinator of the Young Engineers’ Society and Year 8 Debating Coach.
I’ve previously taught Design Technology, Graphics, Food Technology and Textiles.
The units I am currently teaching to Year 11 is Material Engineering and Year 12 are studying Aeronautical Engineering and completing the Drone Pilot licence module.
I enjoy teaching boys because they are funny, honest, loyal and learn through doing, thinking (most times) and discussing.

I’ve been at TSS since January 1997, in my 22nd Year at TSS.
I came to TSS from Southern Cross College, Redcliffe (6 months) after emigrated from the UK and prior to that 2 years at Wyvern College in Salisbury, Wiltshire, UK.
This year I’m involved in co-curricular at TSS: Young Engineers’ Society, Debating and Sailing in Term 4.
I’m currently reading The Strain by Guillermo del Toro. I love del Toro’s abstract view on a horror genre.
Career aspect of which I’m proud: Engaging students with new technology and engineering practices like Robots and Drones.
An area of expertise/passion in education is developing Engineering courses through ‘Playful learning’ and Constructionism.
A leader I respect is Mitch Resnick, LEGO Papert Professor of Learning Research and Director of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab.
A quote that resonates with me is the Serentity Prayer: God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.

I’m grateful for my parents, my family and for all the opportunities I have been given.
I go about maintaining balance and wellbeing by walking our two labradoodles every morning and evening and relaxing with my family and reading a good book.
Something students might not know about me is I am a fan of Thrash and Heavy Metal Music particularly Iron Maiden and Metallica.
