Ever since my wife and three-month-old daughter relocated from Brisbane to join me in a position in boarding at the Southport school, we have admired how the Headmaster’s vision for boys education has embraced an entire community. After working at my five previous schools I can confidently say that the smaller cohorts, a rich and culturally filled- pastoral house care system, strong leadership by the council and executive places all boys’ well-being at the forefront of their priorities, compared to more populated and crowded year levels in other GPS Schools in the country.
The evidence based research from areas such as positive psychology, best practice in classrooms and emotional and personality intelligence testing filters through to housemasters, classroom teachers, and corporate staff who implement and deliver a rigorous and robust curriculum and well-being pastoral program to the students of TSS.
We have grown as a family over the last seven years and with three young sons living on campus we look forward to sharing this experience with them as students of TSS in the future.
