Gymnastics is a Queensland Gymnastics registered club that caters for boys from Prep to grade 12. Boys are able to train and compete all year.
There is a Prep beginners gym skills program that runs one day a week on the Prep Campus. For the competitive stream boys from year 4 up can train at the Super Performance Centre (SPC – located at Southport Park Shopping Centre) up to 5 sessions a week. The boys compete in the annual GPS Foundation Cup against the other GPS schools as well as levels competition in Queensland Gymnastics registered events.
The program Director is Brett Newton. Brett is a former junior National Champion, Junior National representative, and GPS Champion. He is assisted by coach Cody Corbett (Old Boy Walker house 2018). Cody is a former National and State Champion.
TSS gymnastics is a niche sport which offers gymnastics training for boys from beginners to high level. The program is open to all interested boys
GPS gymnastics has a history of over 100 years. TSS has competed in every event dating back to 1915, winning the championship a total of seven times in 1935/36, 1962/63 and 2008/9/10.
