TSS Foundation

ENHANCE AND ENRICH THE TSS EXPERIENCE

The TSS Foundation is an integral part of our community providing a platform to give back to our great school. Generous donations over the decades have helped the continual progress of TSS.

Established in 1986, funds raised through the TSS Foundation play a crucial role in the school's growth and infrastructure development, as well as providing scholarships and bursaries for boys who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend TSS.

By supporting The Southport School Foundation, you become an advocate for excellence in education helping provide limitless possibilities for our students. Through your generosity, we can continue to create a diverse and inclusive student body.

With your help, we have completed remarkable projects such as the build of our award wining Preparatory School, the state-of-the-art Annand Theatre and the Old Southportonians' Pavilion overlooking the Village Green.

TSS Foundation initiatives, like the popular Business Breakfast Series, and the annual Foundation Golf Day, bring parents, alumni, and sponsors together fostering connections. Your support helps us build a strong community that shares a common goal of enhancing a TSS boys' educational experience.

In 2023, following a strategic planning review of the Foundation, the School Council and the TSS Foundation Board agreed on a set of key themes for pursuit by the Foundation.

  • To support the TSS Headmaster, CFOO, and the School Council to achieve the strategic plan of the school through financial means.
  • To provide financial and professional opportunities for both students and staff.
  • To build a legacy that fosters a culture, true to the spirit of the school, of ‘giving back’ for generations to come.
  • Generating sustainable growth to ensure long term viability of the school, both physically and financially.
Our Five Pillars
  • Student Opportunities
  • Staff Development
  • Indigenous Support and Development
  • Boarding Experience
  • School Infrastructure

We extend our sincere gratitude to the generous individuals and families who have supported TSS Foundation over the years.

Together, let's create a brighter future by supporting The Southport School Foundation.

TSS Foundation Scholarships and Bursaries

The Foundation provides scholarships and bursaries to boys who demonstrate potential and require financial assistance to attend the school. These include Indigenous scholarships, Country Boarder Scholarships, as well as OSA (Alumni), and Foundation scholarships and bursaries.

“If I could relive any day of my life, it would be my first day at TSS. It changed my life. I am deeply grateful to the Foundation and all who support it for the opportunity I have been given.”

- Matthew Dalton (MCK19), proud Ngemba man and scholarship recipient. Matt entered TSS in Year 10 on a TSS Foundation Scholarship and is currently studying a Diploma of Teaching (Secondary).

Memorial for the Fallen

Lest We Forget

Please join us in honouring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice

The Southport School is proud to have commissioned a special memorial in tribute to the 132 TSS Old Boys who sacrificed their lives in military conflicts since 1915.

Stage one of the Memorial for the Fallen was unveiled at the TSS ANZAC Day Dawn Service on 25 April 2025 and features an Australian Light Horse and Trooper sculpted by one of Australia’s leading sculptors, Gold Coast based Liam Hardy.

This timeless memorial is situated adjacent to the Old Southportonians’ Pavilion, overlooking the Village Green at the entrance to the Senior School.

Thank you to all who have made a contribution to this special memorial project. Our goal is to raise $180,000 to complete all 132 bronze plaques which will acknowledge each of the TSS Old Boys who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We ask you to please join us in helping to complete this significant memorial at TSS.

Your kind donation will help preserve and honour the service and sacrifice of the TSS Old Boys, and all of the Australian men and women who participate in military conflicts and peacekeeping efforts – past, present and future.
