TSS offers a year-round tennis program with a brand new 5 court senior school facility. Our high performance squads run year-round and we also offer year-round development squads and private/semi-private lessons. All of our coaches are certified with Tennis Australia and have experience as both coaches and players. Director Kaden Hensel is a former ATP professional, who competed at the Australian Open and has 12 professional titles to his name. The number of GPS tennis players has more than doubled over the last 8 years at TSS and the community support as well as the Friends of Tennis committee have played a huge part in this growth.
TSS won its first premiership in 16 years in 2018 and followed this up in 2020 with the first State Championship win in TSS history. In the last few years, 5 members of the program have used their tennis skills as a platform to obtain either placement or a scholarship to a division 1 US college. Jack McCarthy (TSS Tennis captain 2020) was the first player in program history to be accepted to and play for an Ivy League University (Cornell).
