TSS Commemorates ANZAC Day 2026 with Dawn Service

28 April 2026

Before sunrise on the Village Green, the TSS community gathered for the 2026 ANZAC Day Dawn Service to pause, reflect and honour those who have served and sacrificed for their country.

Taking place during the school’s 125th anniversary year, the morning carried an added sense of connection to the history and character of TSS.

This years’ service also marked 120 years of Cadets at the school, recognising more than a century of discipline and mateship that has shaped generations of students since 1906.

A deeply moving moment of the service saw the school honour the 132 TSS Old Boys who lost their lives. In a powerful tribute, each fallen Old Boy was individually commemorated, with every name read aloud by students, ensuring their sacrifice was personally acknowledged and remembered by the community.

The Memorial for the Fallen, which was unveiled during last years’ service, once again stood as a lasting tribute to those Old Boys who made the ultimate sacrifice in service of their country.

Adding to the significance of the occasion was a special flyover coordinated by the Old Southportonians’ Association president Craig Hobart, which formed a memorable part of the morning’s proceedings.

Lest we forget.
