In a commanding display of skill, heart and teamwork, The Southport School has secured the CBSQ Open Boys Championship, reaffirming its status as one of Queensland’s premier basketball schools.

The Southport School’s victory builds on a recent pattern of excellence in the CBSQ Open. Their history in the competition includes previous titles in 2012, 2021 and 2023, this latest win adds to that legacy.

Throughout the tournament, TSS proved difficult to beat, combining a strong defence and sharp shooting to maintain intensity across each game, overcoming seasoned rivals to take the crown. 

With this win, TSS secured their place at the national stage in the upcoming Australian Schools Championships. This provides the players with invaluable exposure, experience, and opportunity to measure themselves against the best from other states.

Congratulations to all the players, coaching staff, and supporters. It’s a moment to be proud of, one that will fuel aspirations for seasons to come.
