The Southport School has etched its name into GPS sporting history once again, with the Basketball First V securing a shared GPS Basketball premiership with Ipswich Grammar School.
In a league known for fierce rivalries and high-calibre talent, the TSS First V showcased not only athletic excellence but also remarkable teamwork, discipline, and resilience. Their victory marks an impressive achievement for the team, coaching staff, and the entire school community.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Mr Anthony Petrie, the First V navigated the season with a near-perfect record.
For many of the players, this victory marks the culmination of years of dedication, training sessions, and unwavering commitment to the program. The win also reflects the long-term vision and support of the TSS basketball department, whose focus on player development, sportsmanship, and leadership continues to shape well-rounded student-athletes.
With the 2025 GPS title secured, the First V have their eyes set on CBSQ Opens.
