Bonnie Hancock, 34, recently broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest paddle circumnavigation of mainland Australia. Raised in Sawtell, NSW, she transitioned from board paddling and swimming to the surf ski at 17, later competing for seven years in the Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Series.

After studying Nutrition and Dietetics, she focused on ski paddling, quickly becoming a state and national medallist. Bonnie set off in 2022 and completed the 254-day journey, breaking the previous record by more than two months. She also set the women’s open-ocean 24-hour paddling record, covering 235km.

In 2024, she released her memoir The Girl Who Touched The Stars and her documentary Diamond of the Sea, now on Foxtel and Kayo. Bonnie continues to share her story as a keynote speaker and delivered a TED Talk in Paris.
