It was a 2 year goal and they have just achieved it!
Headmaster Mr Andrew Hawkins said this could well be our school’s greatest sporting achievement.
“To be National Champions of a truly global sport could well be our school’s greatest sporting achievement. It only happens through hard work and great leadership from Anthony Petrie, Brendan Le Gassick, and our Captain, Ben Tweedy. Congratulations also to Jackson McCabe, named male defensive player of the tournament.
I think Mr Petrie said it best today in his post game summary…the boys are all great Basketball players, but they are even better people.
I am so proud.”
