Great schools continuously evolve. The Southport School’s outstanding facilities create an extraordinary campus which has inspired generations of pupils to immerse themselves in academic study, culture and sport to express their intellectual, creative and physical potential.
To remain at the cutting edge of boys education, a new state-of-the-art theatre has commenced construction, putting TSS at the forefront of 21st century learning.
Drawing inspiration from the original Annand Theatre, the new theatre design respects the heritage of The Southport School, while creating a distinct structure with its own character and dimensions.
Key features of the design include:

Two unique spaces that lie within the walls of the new Annand Theatre are now open for naming opportunities. By choosing to contribute to this next stage of the Annand Theatre rebirth, your name will become part of our history.
All those who enter the new Annand Theatre will be welcomed by this expansive and grand Gallery area. Set to be become a key meeting place for all of our community, this impressive 396 square metre space will also house our memorabilia display showcasing the rich history and traditions of The Southport School.
This modern and open space with exceptional views of the Nerang River and the Gold Coast skyline will serve as a flexible area dependent on the needs of our students. This light-filled 246 square metre space will be used for a variety of school functions, music recitals and rehearsals in addition to serving as a formal meeting place for various ceremonies and school events.

Formed in 1986, The Southport School Foundation aims to preserve and enrich the ideals already established by the school in two principal areas:
Under the direction of its first Chairman, Senator Glen Sheil, the newly formed Foundation set about seeking leadership gifts from the School community for its Building Fund and in 1988 commenced a program of annual giving in the form of the Building Levy.
In 1992, the first Capital Projects Appeal was launched for the establishment of the Lupus Street Preparatory School campus. Since then, the Foundation has continued to support educational and building programs within the School. Through the generosity of supporters, Old Boys, past and current parents and sponsors, The TSS Foundation has assisted the School by donating to the following projects, thereby ensuring their successful completion:
In 1987, the monthly Business Breakfast was initiated by the Foundation as a way of bringing parents in business together with all funds raised being dedicated to the Indigenous Education Program here at the school. The annual Foundation Golf Day was also established, which prompted the implementation of the Scholarship fund in 1998.
We gratefully acknowledge those past and present students and their families who have given generously to the Foundation since 1986 and have provided many of the buildings and opportunities that our boys enjoy today.
