What a child learns and experiences in their early years will have effects that last a lifetime.

At TSS Preparatory School we value early learning and pride ourselves on our reputable kindergarten program which follows a Reggio-inspired approach.
Children are inquisitive learners. We plan experiences to spark creativity and thinking in line with the boys’ interests and QLD Kindergarten Learning Guideline outcomes.

Boys can attend TSS Preschool Full Time – 5 days per week term time, or Part Time – 5-day fortnight. As an accredited centre, for eligible families, the fee for attending the TSS Preschool Program will attract the Child Care Subsidy.

Our specialist knowledge in the education of boys sees our kindergarten program focus directly on their needs. Changes to the National Curriculum means that more than ever before it is important that all children have the best possible start to their educational journey. Boys who participate in a quality kindergarten program, taught by qualified and passionate teachers, enjoy a flying start to learning and life.

Bush Preschool

A fenced area of woodland next to the Preparatory oval, called Bush Preschool allows boys to explore, create and collaborate.

Boys engaging in Bush Preschool benefit from learning outside the classroom, which fosters healthy and active lifestyles, connects them with the natural world, cultivates respect for nature, enhances problem-solving skills and creativity, supports physical development, and stimulates sensory and physical experiences crucial for their learning and development.

National Quality Rating

TSS Preschool is the only service on the Gold Coast to have received two Excellent Ratings.

TSS Preschool students actively learn through play, participating in play-based learning experiences designed to encourage his physical, social, intellectual, language and emotional abilities.

Students also engage in pre-literacy and pre-numeracy learning, problem solving and are encouraged to use language to communicate ideas and feelings.

TSS Playgroup

All families in our area are welcome to join Playgroup (boys and girls). TSS Playgroup is held each Friday, term-time only from 9 – 10.30am, giving children the opportunity to develop physical skills, problem solving skills and a time for fun, social interaction.

Playgroup also gives mums, dads, grandparents and caregivers a chance to share ideas and experiences.

Many long-term friendships begin at Playgroup!
